Eva finally finds a bookseller who can help her. He directs her to another bookshop and then he's led away by a man in a black hat. Eva follows. But is she getting into danger?

The player tells Eva to start asking the booksellers if anyone of them can decipher the mysterious phrase. The first person she asks has no idea but is interested in buying her book. Fearing that she's being pursued she runs off but drops her book. An elderly man picks it up for her and seems to know that it is important. He introduces himself as Yvan Salmon. He whispers the beginning of the phrase ....La statue domine le mort.... and tells her to go to a bookshop at rue St. Sabin. But soon after, a man in a black hat leads
away the elderly man.
